Always taller.

"Mama, will you please just stop going to the gym?"

Why?

"Because I don't want you to look any different."

Oh Buddy, my face isn't going to look any different. I will look the same; I just might be a little smaller.

"But I always want you to be taller than me."

Well, I can promise you that I won't always be taller than you, but the gym isn't going to make me any shorter. I just might wear smaller pants.
